1 day to go

It’s almost upon us! It’s been an eventful journey that was rarely smooth but was always enjoyable… mostly Malcolm and I have now cycled thousands of miles in training for the actual challenge but I feel we might have cycled 10,000 and still not feel prepared.

We never did get around to cycling the Isle of Wight due to family events but I have seen huge amounts of the Sussex countryside, sometimes several times. And I have gone looking for hills and found them!

We have to thank Kateryna from The Guilty Cyclist for her generosity and overall loveliness and Alex from Fettle has been a calm, proficient presence in our lives too. Malcolm ended up in a minor collision with a car on his bike and Alex dropped everything to check his bike over. It was fine, as was Malcolm but for a bruised finger.

On Thursday morning at 8.30am, we leave Chichester for 11 days to cycle the Roman Roads. I hope you can come along for the ride, even if it is vicariously. Rest calls.
